BREAKING: Sex Cult Leaders found Guilty
Brooklyn jury rules OneTaste leaders Nicole Daedone and Rachel Cherwitz guilty
Well that was fast.
Today in Brooklyn, a jury found OneTaste leaders Nicole Daedone, 57, and Rachel Cherwitz, 44, guilty of coercion and forced labor conspiracy after a four-week trial in the Eastern District of New York.
The verdict lands hard for the women who once reigned over the orgasm-wellness empire — now convicted sex cult leaders awaiting sentencing.
Their lawyers had insisted the case was nothing more than a “government overreach,” painting the witnesses as regretful women “embarrassed by choices they made when they were younger.”
The jury didn’t buy it.
Defense attorney Jennifer Bonjean, known for defending R. Kelly and Harvey Weinstein, called the ruling “a punch to the gut.”
“This wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, but these are strong women — absolute inspirations — and they’ll weather the storm. So will we,” she told reporters. “The fight is only beginning.”
Both women plan to appeal.
“Some cases hurt more than others,” Bonjean added. “We believe fully in their innocence — not just legally, but in their goodness and humanity.”
Now, the two former spiritual CEOs of the sexual consciousness movement are staring down potential prison time. Sentencing is still to be determined.
Holy breaking news
